Are the .357s the best running Gen 4s?

I was told by a Dealer that he wouldn't stock any Gen 4s, as the Glock 26s and G27s had to be sent back.

I'm still hopeful for selling my Gen 3 G32 (locally) and picking up a Gen 4 Glock 33, but would NOT buy any other Gen 4s
other than the .357 SIGs that 'seem' to work better than most of the other Gen 4 models to date.

There seems to be NO gen 4 G33s available now and the Gen 4s cost about $60 more than a Gen 3 G33.

Even if I did find one, adding Nites and paying shipping, I'm looking about $710 by the time I pay the
Govenor's sin tax and transfer fee., maybe more.

A lot of scratch for a Glock I think, even if you get 3 mags with the GenRation 4. whooppee!!

    On the other hand.

A Ruger KLCR .357 Magnum would be about $500.

Same for a used Gen 3 Glock 33 with Nites..

Too many guns on my short list but not enough money, esp. with Christmas coming up.

I would consider both keeping your current G32 and finding another dealer.

The BTF problem seems to be primarily with 9mm and not so much with other calibers. That said I've put hundreds of rounds through Gen 4 G17s and G19s I've seen erratic ejection but no BTF.....yet. knock on wood....

Dude, get off the Internet and go to the range and see for yourself if the Gen4's are as bad as everyone here thinks they are. I have a 17, 23, 26, and a 34, all Gen4's and all FLAWLESS. So are the other 6 Gen4's that some of my friends own.

I'm sure there are bad ones, as I had a bad 30SF, but that doesn't mean they are all bad.

And you would think I would have seen tons of these things malfunctioning and throwing BTF, since I've been to about 10 GSSF competitions in the last year. But I've only seen ONE!

The .357 Sig has more snap to cycle the slide when wrist might not be firmly locked.

Most .357 Sig factory ammo if full power, compared to some 9mm target / cheaper FMJ being less than full power.

.357 Sig may be enough to overcome the apparently oversprung Gen 4 recoil spring.

I would not sell that Gen 3 model 32 if it works 100%

10mm is problem free. instead of brass to face, brass flies over your head

There's plenty of gen 3's with the issue, I had one. I wouldn't call them over sprung, especially when it was happening just as frequently with NATO and good SD +p ammo.

Even G21s have BTF issues. The only reason the 9mms seem so much more prevelant with the issue is simply because there are so many out there. It's pretty obvious that the entire Gen 4 (and recent Gen 3s most likely) have had the same design changes, hence have the same issues.

Your dealer is full of it. As stated earlier get off the internet and go to the range.

I have 6 gen4s and have had no BTF, FTE, FTF or any other malfunctions. Don't believe the hype. When I buy Glocks I WILL buy gen4s only.

    Exactly.

Your dealer is stuck in a information Dead Zone. Maybe he's a Zombie :steamed::steamed::steamed:

My G23 Gen 4 has been great for me and over 4,000 Rnd's.
