Or are only insects bugs?
Eddie, I think this needs a poll...
Spiders, insects and millipedes are all bugs.I'm not sure about slugs.
Kinda like a web crawler? (Sorry, obligatory Tech Talk reference.)
Spiders aren't insects, but they are bugs (of the arachnid persuasion).
All <strike>crustaceans</strike> arthropods are bugs, then?
My wife and I are trying to define "bug". She holds that it's related to the ratio of guts to appendages, or "squishability to crunchiness". Therefore a slug is not a bug, but a millipede is. A caterpillar, though, is right on the cusp.
She doesn't explain just what's on the the other side of the cusp from bug. Worm?
Bugs are actually an order within the family of insecta.
Spiders are not even insects, let alone bugs!
True bugs= Hemiptera
