Are rail size/width the same for the G23/G35 and G21?

I have some Gen3 .40 S&Ws with rails and a Gen3 G21 without a rail, and have been thinking of trading the rail-less G21 for a railed version, if I can use the same light across the board. I don't have a light just yet.

Are the rails the same width and/or do most light bases adjust for the different size rails?

    Thanks in advance!

ETA, I have searched the topic but did not find the answer, and became distracted by a bunch of other useful info. I found. ;)

I believe there is a version of the G21 with the standard rail, and one with a Picatinny rail.

My TLR-3 has a bunch of different adapters to use with different pistols. These basically just change the position of the light forward & backward. There is also one for use with a Picatinny rail.
The Glock adapter will work on Picatinny rails, there's just a slight bit of wiggle room from front to back. The Picatinny adapter won't fit on a standard rail, as the rail spacing is slightly wider than the notch in the Glock rail.

I see. So, do you know if the "standard" rail is the same across different size frames, as in G17/G22/G21? I'd only use this particular light on the Glocks and specifically a G35 and a G21, since there's no long slide .45acp.

ETA. I understand that the length of the Glock rails vary with model, but would like to know if their width is the same across the board.

    Thanks again!

Yeah, the width is standard across all models.

All the standard Glock rails are the same and will fit a weapon light. Only rail that is different is the 21 pic rail mentioned
