And spoons make people fat, right? Life is full of choices. So i have a choice to vote, or not. I get what your saying clancy, but i dont want to argue with you about it. You are apparently accepting homosexuality, i do not and i never will. We should just agree to disagree on the subject.

Sure, maybe they weren't disowned by their families, but were instead shot and killed by their jealous spouce.

The Constitution say's nothing about it. Law doesn't forbid it. What people do in their homes isn't my business whether I understand it or not. I wouldn't vote for Buttigieg if he was banging the Swedish female beach volleyball team.

Next thing you know they will want to ban firearms or think "AR" stands for "assault rifle".

Wait, what? You think mental disorders are things people are taught? So in other words, bipolar people were taught to be bipolar the same way they’re taught to tie their shoes?

    Please tell me you’re joking.

So, given your thoughts, it would seem that homosexuality should be a relatively new phenomena, but it is at least as old as recorded history and likely as old as mankind itself. Certainly it is much older than the "good old days" you long to bring back. In all my years on the internet, I don't think I've ever come across anyone with as appropriate a screen name as yourself. Congratulations on your self awareness.

It is a choice - even homosexuals know this. That is why they call it "an alternative lifestyle".

I agree that acting on the desire is completely under one's control. However, if two consenting adults both feel the same way, why should they not act on their desires? Should a quirk of biology mean that a person should not be allowed to have a loving, sexual relationship with another human being who loves him as well? Are you really that cruel and callous?

Alternative isn't a synonym for choice. It simply means different.

But then you are expecting them to live a loveless and unfulfilled life when their preferences are in no way shape or form illegal. That is ridiculous. But you are correct in that they could choose not to act on it but why should they?

Wouldn't the same be true of animal species that exhibit homosexual behavior? There are plenty.

Why don't people ever ask why someone "chooses" to be heterosexual? Because they don't choose it, they just are that way. So how can anyone just choose to turn that off? It's not even logical.

We're talking binary sides, one or the other, here, not the spectrum of behavior that is also possible.

Wasn't Bill DeBlasio's wife a lesbian who is now a heterosexual?
If it isn't a choice, is she now living a lie?

I see homosexuality as akin to a birth defect; a gay person has no more control over who they're attracted to than a blind person has over their disability.

I'm not aware of any law that prohibits lesbians from marrying men. Some women marry men for reasons other than love. She could be a beard.

Maybe, she wasn't born that way? Is that a threat to the Left's pseudo-religion?

Or maybe she wasn't actually a lesbian. Perhaps she is bisexual.

    Nope.

"Prior to meeting Mr. de Blasio, Ms. McCray identified as a lesbian and had several long-term relationships with other women. In a seven-page essay she wrote for the September 1979 issue of Essence magazine entitled “I am a Lesbian” she frankly discussed her sexuality and expressed gratitude that she came to terms with her preference for women before marrying a man.

I see a lot of women who claim to be lesbian, but have been married and have kids. Many seem to "turn gay" after years of loneliness. I've seen several go back to men after time living in a lesbian relationship.
Especially in my admittedly small sample, it seems to be something to fall back on to avoid being alone.
