Glock has magazines and many parts that are interchangeable between models specially if they are of the same caliber. But I have never read any forum that tells if the the G19 barrel is interchangeable with G17. Do you know by actual experience?

The G19 barrel is shorter than the G17 barrel, so no. Now if your talking about the G17 fitting the G19 then I don't know, as you would have to hold them up to compare everyting but the length. I don't see why it would not work as they have a longer hunting barrel set up for the G20/20SF.

Thanks. I was thinking of installing a G17 on my G19 and not vice versa. If possible it will allow me to shoot a full size barrel on a compact frame.

Here in Denmark we're not allowed handguns under 210mm in length, so it's had a longer barrel fitted. Looks okay to me though.

A full frame barrel (e.g. 17,34) will not fit in smaller Glock.

A compact frame barrel (e.g. 19) will work as extended barrel in subcompact 26, but I don't see the point of this, unless you think there is a "coolness factor" to it.

You can do the same thing with a 23 barrel in a 27.

You'd get a little velocity boost, but you aren't benefiting from a longer sight radius.

if your after a longer slide with the smaller frame, LWD could take care of you. you will need a dust cover, a longer slide, and barrel.

Looks cool and I thought of having the end threaded for a suppressor
