When I took my non-collapsible buttstock off to put a 6-position on, I noticed that my buffer tube ( the metal tube inside the spring) was lubricated on the end should I do that with the new one?

I don't see why you need to. Just lube the buffer spring and buffer when you reassemble it.

I just hose down the whole BCG and it tends to get everywhere in there after you cycle the action a few times.

Militec is great, and comes in a dropper style bottle.

For a spray lube, I like StrikeHold. Its like WD40 on steroids.

Any gun lube is fine. I use CLP.
