i was just wondering , there is a little play/looseness in the body of the gun. is that going to throw off my zero? how common is it to have some play in components of the gun???

Do you mean play between the upper and lower receiver????

If so, some play is normal. Some rifles are tighter than others. It won't affect the accuracy of the rifle since the complete upper receiver/barrel/sights etc... are all one piece.

You can get an accuwedge to tighten up the upper/lower fit.

Besides a replacement you can also get oversized pins for holes that have worn larger and KNS nonrotation pins.

I like bravo company usa http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/
