Following some back issues, I now carry my LCR appendix style with no issues. In fact, I've come to prefer it. Use a kydex so don't perspire on it as badly. Suggestions for G19? When cooler weather rolls around I typically carry that.
They have Quick Ship ones available that doesn't take 8-10 weeks to custom make.
Glock pistols are lighter than steel framed pistols and don't need a huge holster that wraps halfway around you with wide attachment points to be stable.
The Skinny Rig is easy to put on and take off, has adjustable retention, and can be worn anywhere on the waist.
I have (and use) a DeSantis INSIDE HEAT which is a thick, formed leather holster for a 19 or 26 and costs around $30. http://www.desantisholster.com/ In formed polymer (not a Kydex) is a BLADE TECH (can't remember the name) but also fits my 19 and 26 for around $35. Both are very good, inexpensive but perform at a higher level than their price would make you think. High quality.
Used a Fobus paddle-style for more than a decade with great ease for my G23(3).
Decided to add another holster when I picked up my G19(4), so I got an IMI Defense paddle-style. WOW. Closer to the torso, better paddle design and an all-one-piece design make it a real joy to wear everyday.
It's about 20 bucks, adjustable for cant, ride height, retention strength AND can be used right or left handed or on a 1.5/1.75 inch belt right out of the box.
It's also really easy on and off, but is secure while worn thanks to the design of the clip.
So many options and such a great price point -- great for trying out carrying a larger gun appendix.
