Duh. I'm surprised they didn't just dismiss the charges.

Home Confinement... right........I'm on ****ing home confinement and I did nothing wrong.

It's pretrial release to home confinement.

It's hard to keep people detained.

If you put them in a jail cell, they stay contained very nicely. And no easy access to things like chemicals, and lighters, or even subways and train stations.

Because 2 women who tried to murder police in their car with flaming bottles of gasoline are not dangerous?

And Officer Chauvin can't get bail? He's no threat to society.
    These two however...

They take care of themselves. All judges are attorneys first, remember that.

Ever seen an attorney convicted of a DUI? I haven’t.

    ^^^^^this,

I always likened attorneys to prostitutes working a street corner.they might fight each other over customers but they always had each other's backs against outsiders.

Yeah when I'd see them strutting and preening before court opened I used to call it, "Dance of the manure birds" but I wouldn't use "manure".

I read what was posted of the court's decision.

There is a process for review and standards that already existed. Those were explained. A reader does not have to accept them. One of the justices, knowing of both, dissented. That is ok too.
At least the decision and reasoning is explained.

I live in a world wherein people make snap decisions based upon a person's race, a photograph, a 15 second video, a news account in left wing newspaper. The world also includes people who ignore almost two hundred years of family law procedures, required papers, and laws to make up their own rules of divorce and support as they go along. Like one of my brothers who tries to skip making child support payments because he isn't married any more.

Would I be unhappy if one of the person's paying the non-refundable bail downpayment loses his house because one of these defendants jumps bail and gets caught? Absolutely not.

HA! Imagine the looks on their miserable faces after they got to taste a little bit of freedom, only to be yanked right back up in cuffs! I hoped they talked a ton of **** on their way out of lock up the first time!
