Gotten a few emails from them, prices for uppers are a little higher than PSA but I am a little nervous about buying from PSA due to the hit or miss quality I have read about here.

Does anyone have experience with them? I am wanting to build a 10.5" pistol in 5.56 and don't really want to spend $800 to $1000 on the upper itself.

I can’t comment on APOC, but PSA has improved dramatically over the last few years. The chances of you getting a problematic upper is very low. If you do, they will make it right.

If the goal is to get a decent quality gun on a budget go with PSA.

Nothing but great experience with PSA stuff. Have built a bunch of rifles for people over the years with parts/receivers from them and never had one come back with problems. Only issue I ever had with PSA was they shipped me a 14.5" barrel once when I ordered a 16". Sent them an email and got a quick response--they shipped me a new one with a return label for the wrong barrel without blinking and in 4 days I had the correct part.

I'd order from PSA again in a heartbeat. Same for Aero, Mega, and a few others...

Thanks for the vote of confidence in PSA, been out of the AR game for a while and trying to figure out which way to go. Last time I put togeether an AR I got a LMT complete upper(minus the BCG) for around $700. I see those have gone up quite a bit.

Isn't Apoc a Star Trek character?

Same. I wouldn’t say the chances are “very low”. But I would say low. lol

Either way, if you run into an issue with a PSA upper, PSA will just exchange it as many times as it takes to get a good one.

I would get a BCM or Spikes before an APOC or a PSA.

Ran across a vendor of AR15.com that has a sale on Daniel Defense uppers for around $750. I am also looking at Adams Arms to go the piston route. This was a lot easier 13 years ago LOL.

Wouldn’t get a DD. They supported gun control measures earlier this year.
