So as we already know thatfor the past 2 years, some 9mm Glocks have had erratic ejection and bad extraction in both the 3rd and 4th Generation 9mm's. for the 4th Gen Glock they first replaced the RSA (Recoil Spring Assembly) which was coming apart and too heavy for the 9mm's, late last year they issued a "voluntary exchange" of the ejector which helped some but not everyone. Many people on various forums believe the newest MIM extractor's with a dip are the culprit yet Glock denies it. People have experimented with various combinations of factory and aftermarket parts with different degrees of success. Well Randy Lee of Apex Tactical Specialties has discussed his reasoning of the ejection/extraction problems here:
    http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=92447

So for over 6 months, Randy and ATS have been doing R&D on a solution. If all goes well this weekend, Derek of thepackingrat.net and I will be recording the before and after results. Until then, the package is sealed :whistling:

Looking forward to your results. Me, I'm tired of brass hitting me in the face.

I've been watching that post since the first post. Looks like they're doing some pretty good R&D over there at Apex.

That is a very interesting analysis that Randy Lee posted at m4carbine.net. I don't do 9mm, but I will be keenly interested in your results nonetheless. Here's hoping that the improvement will be significant without a need to modify the ejection port dimensions.

The funny thing about this is when this so called "problem" first came to light for Mr. Lee, his shooting partner for the day, a LE trainer who posts a lot on the SIG Forum, stated in the thread at the time that ONLY Mr. Lee was having trouble shooting the Gen 4 G17, as he is an avowed "soft" shooter, and that no one else had trouble shooting the same gun. Hmmm. :whistling: :wavey:

Even if the problem is shooter related or not, they will sell.

Ditto. I'm even more tired of the people claiming there is no problem. Funny how if it's me or the ammo that none of my other guns have the problem. Hmmm. :whistling: :wavey:

If this thing appears to work I'll give it a try.

You should probably volunteer to train Mr. Lee. Your SEAL training would be invaluable.

Your extensive list of credentials is truly impressive. Tell us again when it was you made Grandmaster. Did you personally fire the shot that killed Osama bin Laden??

Mr. Lee has developed and marketed some very innovative parts for the M&P community. I am certainly paying attention to his efforts to solve the Glock issues especially since I'm an owner of one of the troubled guns.

Lowering and flaring the ejection port has become pretty much standard in the 1911 world but it's kind of odd seeing this work being performed on a modern auto like the Glock.

You insult people on here all day by telling them they can't shoot but you refuse to tell us what makes you a champion shooter.
