wondering if anyone works for sams club,

im debating applying for a part time job there, the pay is pretty good for the work performed, along with getting discounts ,

but if you do work there, how are the discounts ? and does it also let you get the employee discount at walmart ?

and for yall that hate sams club and walmart, this is not the place to ***** and moan about it,

    You lucked out.
I work with someone whose husband works for Sam's, so I asked her.

Working there gets you a FREE membership at Sam's for you and your spouse (if applicable). No discount at Wal-Mart though.

Wal-Mart employees get discounts at Wal-Mart but nothing at Sam's.

Her H likes the job. All he does is stock shelves at night when nobody else is there. It's a very quiet environment. It also leaves him at home to take care of the kids when they get home from school while she's at work.

thank you, that is what im looking for is something that im not going to be bugged all day long,

i hate bosses that are in your face and annoy you when your doing your job,

and thats cool that you get a free membership,

but kind of a bummer that you dont get he walmart discount, i was kind of hoping for the 10% guns and ammo ..

I knew that my coworker was the primary breadwinner but I'd never asked about her husband's job. I also had no idea Sam's was actually open at night. So, if the position you are applying for is night shift, you won't have to be around customers. It's like working in a warehouse.

The first rule for Sam's Club; we don't talk about Sam's Club...

My mother-in-law works for Sam's Club and loves it. Of course, she came over from Wal-Mart, so she had rather low expectations...

at this point i have low expectations also,

as long as there is nothing endangering my life directly it will be a great step up from my previous jobs ..

    and another question,

how are they about time off and scheduling ?

other than a few things, i just dont take time off, but i need time for deer hunting , along with elk if i get drawn,

My coworker and her husband just returned about a week ago from a weeklong cruise to Cancun. Year before, they went for a week to Disney World. It doesn't appear to have ever been a problem getting time off.

well i guess i just applied,

went through their application online and thought theyd have a "review all" and submit button at the end, but all you do is end the test and it submits ..

probably shouldnt have put Male prostitute as my most recent job ..

    eh live and learn ..

hehe just kidding , but i did wish i could review it, and possibly have a little "other information / questions category ' to fill in..

You can get one of those anywhere.

Are they hiring? I would recommend talking to the manager. If they are hiring you showing the initiative to tell him you want a job may put you ahead of others.

If they're not hiring they'll tell you so you're not waiting around for them.
