I have the opportunity to purchase this A1 with caspian receiver & SA slide + 1 mag and a tasco scope.
I know nothing about 1911's as I'm pretty much a glocker. This might just be a deal I cannot turn down.
What's this worth? Ballpark.. I have til today to decide.

What sort of price is the seller asking?? The price on 'race 1911s' could be all over the board depending on the builder.

I don't know how much it's "worth", but I wouldn't touch it unless it was down in the low 4 hundred range. Maybe less. The scope is trash, it's a franken gun, the sights are crap.... But, that's just me. :dunno: Since you're asking the question and, "know nothing about 1911's" I would pass on it all together. Save up for a decent factory gun.

People who modify their guns and then wonder why others won't appreciate the modifications. At least the seller is honest in his expectation and only asks for $350.

For that price I would buy it in a heart beat and tear it down to basics. I'm kinda digging the backwards scope mount, it looks like it was set up with a decent magnification scope at some point. At least that's the only reason I can think of to mount it backwards.

I'd offer 275 and then keep it as a glovebox gun. I'd probably pass on it though to be honest. It looks like crap IMO

for about 300 bucks, I would buy it. if it doesn't work out, you can always part it out and make most of your money back.
