    Do cardio...it helps..lol

Carrying a 45lbs plate in each hand walking across the track in the cross fit area at the gym also helps build your cardio....

I have worn my level 4s with side armor, full mags when I work from home sometimes... Just don't go out to the mailbox...lolmags

to AKs point...if you don't train with it....Mr Murphy is around the corner

I keep my level III nearby now. Carried it in my car for business trips. Slipped it on (and illegal sidearm) when refueling at rural CA stations where I was the only white guy for miles, driving a car worth more than the local houses and wearing a suit worth more than the average local annual income. Too many times the local loafers perked up and began to spread out when I arrived. My company’s security training often paid off - particularly with situational awareness like when all the pumps say ‘reader out of order, come into store’. Clerks eyes always widened when I walked in. On 2 occasions clerks grabbed cell phones and told listener to back off “si, yes, a gun and vest’ (in Spanish of course which they stupidly thot I didn’t speak.) Closest I came to a problem was when a highway patrol car pulled into next pump. I was just leaving so gun wasn’t visible. Cop (cool old pro) saw vest, probably assumed a weapon and said: “just passing thru?” ‘Yes officer’. “Got enough gas to clear the county line? ‘Yes officer’. “Best you not stop around here again. Safest station is about 50 miles South or 80 miles North - just past county line.” ‘Understood - thank you officer.’ You gotta love a pro in action (and he did run my plates cuz I heard it on my scanner a few minutes later.)

For my entire 20 year career I wore Level IIIA with trauma plate. It was just second skin to me. Since retiring, I have kept two of my IIIA vests even though they are now ridiculously out of date.

Last month, and I still can't believe this, I took delivery of a Level IV plate carrier setup. Ordered it in June, couple of weeks after Floyd. It now sits on the floor in my bedroom by the rifle safe.

Again, I can't believe this is necessary after having been retired 19 years, but here we are.

When will Rod Serling put in his appearance?

I don't disagree with you as your area might heat up...

At least here in PA we have some distance from some of the shenanigans...
