Thanks for posting the link. I’m not on Facebook and never will be. I think the president beat 60 minutes at their own game.

This was any other candidate all of the other news networks would have him on questioning him about the interview and why he felt necessary to do this.

I did not know I needed to ADD that I saw Trump’s version on Youtube, earlier today??

I think it is a good ideal for people to watch both and have stated so on a couple of replies.

Yes, I will watch 60 minute’s version on Sunday.

Finally, I wrote “it” and not “the one” on Sunday. Not sure why you attempted to misquote my original reply.

Use to be 60 minutes fan, now the great reporters, correspondents have all retired, or died. 60 minutes was in the old days a great mix of News, Interviews with Famous people, and last Feature News.

Remember when the did a piece about Lamborgini 40th Anniversary, what a great story. Talk about a reporter getting a dream assignment.

No longer do 60 minutes, it not balances, it not fair, it's like most of the MSM BS.

DT is da MAN! He circled around back and stuck it in and broke it off before they realized what happened.

Kinda like Kayleigh Mcenany. the fools leave a press briefing and around 11:30PM they finally realize they got ****** big time. So, not believing it, they go back the next day and ask the same stoopid ****ing questions again

There is only one version that is showing on Sunday. You should be able to determine by reasoning or deduction.

My words are in black and white, and I cannot help you read or understand them.

DJT and CBS actions in this regard should be evident to all, known to all yet still to this day we know people believe what they see on TV because... TV.

What WILL be interesting, is the editing... which all will soon see and be able to judge better any discrepancies and variations in and of the message.

Which is again, a moot point.

CBS in their polls (projected) have Biden with 356 electoral votes already - it's in the Biden Bag! You can all go home, no need to vote, conservative tears will flood the streets in America, the CCP will be dancing in the streets of Bejing/Peking whatever they want to call it today and the batsoup flu scourge will soon be over thanks to Biden's magnificent handling of the crisis. Probably get a Nobel for it.

You guys are awful hard on R.B. (altho he seems to be able to handle it well).

Do you guys think Biden will make his son Hunter the Sec of Treasury? I understand he counts a lot of big money coming his way? Supposedly washes his money too so good to know it's clean.

A family to look up to fer sures... years of .gov experience. Decades!

And you're all worried about a TV show? muahahahaha "If they can get you asking the wrong questions..." (Pynchon sorta quote going on there)

I couldn't get over how pathetic Lesley Stahl is.

She sounds like a 12 year old girl trying to interview the president.

I watched the whole thing. She whined, complained, nagged it was disgusting.

    Consider this:
A 60 Minutes segment lasts about 15 minutes with edited snippets. The interviewer narrates the questions on the show, over dubbing the video. In other words, she knew that she would be edited out of the interview.

Trump pulls the curtain back once again

And the way she was so condescending about the scandals he brought up. It's like she was saying "C'mon man, there's no evidence of that".

    That's what they ALWAYS do.

"That has been debunked", or "that's not verified", and the only thing they use to support that claim is the guy in the next cubicle wrote an article saying it isn't true. Kind of like the wrap up smear Pelosi talked about.

The things Leslie Stahl was saying are ridiculous for anyone to say who even halfway pays attention to what's going on, much less a "star journalist". I do not believe these people are that naive or stupid, they are evil propagandists, simple as that.

Anyone who agrees to do an interview like this should get an agreement in writing that they can have their own people record the entire thing too. In order for it to not hurt the ratings, agree not to show it until the original has aired. Wasn't it 60 minutes who did that segment where they showed the pro gun people looking stupid and speechless when asked a question, but the pro gun people had their own video showing they gave a great answer to the question that was edited out?

Today's media TRULY IS THE ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE!

    A chess move?

Trump leaving early was probably planned. That way, it's difficult to edit out portions of the interview. Winning! :faint:

It was a brilliant 3D chess move by Trump, surprised they haven't already done this. Exposes the media should they work their editing fingers to misconstrue what was said. Also puts other networks on notice of the possibility of this being done on them. Leslie Stahl looked like she was pumped with formaldehyde before the interview.

If you've ever noticed a lack of depth in people's perspective, rationale, or thinking, that is why. They need things whittled down so they can process them. Maybe they don't have a foundational intelligence that leads to discernment. I've always wondered if it was ADD or something of that nature. IMO, that is why a lot of people only seem to understand half the story, only see part of a picture, and have such a thin grasp of reality. That goes beyond just opinion or ideology.

Re-reading the thread led me to think about Marshall McLuhan's tome on Media (2 actually, Understanding Media and The Medium is the Message) which then led me to this other Canadian link (watch out for the socialisms - aha) on the History of Information... kinda fascinating to see the progress (if you're interested in this sorta stuff) on all sorts of topics.

    https://www.historyofinformation.com/index.php

Click "THEMES" select "News Media", they go thru Mr Peabody's wayback machine in a fashion.

Probably a reason Dr Franklin and his printing press made him so... sage? Positioned to bend an ear? The First American? (Love that book!)

The media hounded Geo Washington during both of his terms. Franklin's illegitimate son (noted Tory) and Thomas Paine, he who authored COMMON SENSE were just two of the many who lambasted and/or scourged our first Constitutional Republic POTUS in the press. Hence two terms, ya'll go pound sand, George was going back to Mt Vernon thankyouverymuch. (One of the main reasons of dissent was US Gov payment of the jizzyah to the Barbary Pirate coastal Big Dawgs... Shay and Whiskey rebellions to handle... don't go there... Washington hated it as well, but didn't have enough (any?) gunboats and had bills to pay, taxes to raise, a new institution to create - like herding feral cats)

Or it could be that NYC as our Nation's Capitol sucked even back then and George just wanted to get the hell outta there... and Philly was no better probably... needed to find a better swamp to place our Capitol business donchaknow? They succeeded.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Different players maybe... idealists, realists, creators (tax cut), destroyers (tax hikes)... the propaganda mills... deep vast and wide swamps... with all those loose cats needing a good herd roundup along with selected spaying/neutering. muahahahaha

The last time 60 Minutes was a credible news program, Dan Rather was running that story about George W. Bush and his Air National Guard service...

    Wait -- what...?

I recall the liberal media was fond of repeating or quoting Marshall McLuhan.

    But in later years stopped.
    What could have changed?

Marshall became religious and stated to write that the modern media is in a Lucifferian conspiracy against the truth.

Truth he was discussing was philosophical and religious.

The truth he referenced was ultimatly Jesus Christ.

Suddenly Marshall became persona non grata.
