    Who are you?

    1. Liberal
    2. Conservative
    3. Libertarian
    4. Progressive

You might be surprised at the answer. Take the Nolan Chart Survey here. Note the site is getting slammed by people taking the survey so it may be extremely slow if not unreachable for a while.

Watch the episode, "The One thing" here.

Now I've always considered myself a Conservative. But taking the quiz, it shows me solidly Libertarian to the point of Anarchist (if I understood Mr Beck).

So I ask, who are you?

Centrist-Statist according to that pretty useless and simplistic test.

Can't get in to take the test, but my guess would be straddling the line between conservative and libertarian.

Does anyone watch Glenn Beck anymore? He started well but turned into Howard Beale. HH

Your answers suggest that you are a libertarian. The yellow star shows more precisely where you fall within the libertarian region of the Nolan chart.

It wouldn't come up but I've taken it before. It put me all the way in the point of libertarian.

How did you copy your chart? Select and cut & paste doesn't seem to work. :embarassed:

I didn't see the Beck show, so I'm not sure about the anarchist you mentioned. I do not like government intervention, but I do think government serves a functiion, and DO NOT consider my self an anarchist. I believe in states rights, and a limited federal government. The United States Constitution super cedes any and all laws. This means any and all limitations by state governments to constitutional rights are ILLEGAL, and any federal laws other than the constitution that contridict, or limit anything not spelled out in the constitution is a violation of the 10th amendment and therefore null and void.

I guess bottom line, I belive our constitution was written as a definative answer, and any laws that limit or modify constitutional amendments should also require ratification. States only have the power to inforce or limit those liberties NOT provided for in the constitution. I.E. gun laws both federal and state are a violation of the constitution and therefore invalid.

I see a trend here, this seems to put everyone as a libertarian. I wonder if this site is run by the libertarian party.

There is a difference between a libertarian and a Libertarian. A real libertarian would not waste their time as part of a political party.

I took it many moons ago and was placed left of center in the Libertarian block.

But I agree with you. Not nearly enough questions and a lot of the questions are blatantly biased.

There's a similar survey out there (can't find it at the moment) that places you in the political spectrum and it has the names of well-known people - including Ted Nugent! :)

    It sure is...

David F. Nolan is famous among libertarians for two major achievements. He's a co-founder of the Libertarian Party -- in fact, that party was formed in his own living room in 1971...

    http://www.theadvocates.org/celebrities/david-nolan.html

There is a link to the quiz from that site, although the questions are much more simplistic. Taking that test shows I'm not quite the anarchist that the first quiz claims.
