Im going to be getting a Comp-Tac Paddle Holster for my Glock 19 to use for IDPA and was wondering what size belt to buy? 1.5in or 1.75in??? Also should I get the slide version of the Holster which has open bottom and I can use all 9mm Glocks or... Closed bottom which only fits the G19 or G23??? Any help on this would be great.. Thanks

Yup I use the holster for my Glock 34. I use a 1.5" belt and have my mag pouches and holster set for it. Works well. Open or closed it is personal preference. I use the closed.

i also ordered the paddle holster and dual mag holder from Comptac for IDPA, USPSA and anything else i get into. i use it with a 1.5" Wilderness Instructors belt. i was unaware there is a open and closed bottom availability when i ordered as it doesn't give you that option online. they didn't ask me when i called to confirm my ordered either. i wonder why not. i would rather have the closed. the bottom of mine does taper in so i wouldn't be able to use a model with a longer slide anyway but it is open.

I have one for my G19 & one for my G34, both for a 1 1/2" belt. They're very well-made. The open-ended slide is versatile, but it can allow the pistol to be pushed up & out of the holster. This can happen if you have a long barrel & sit down on a chair in such a manner that the muzzle catches on a hard chair arm or seat. Oops!

I use them also but I choose the closed bottom for a particular slide size just to protect the muzzel. Comp Tac makes excellent holsters and their paddles don rock like the ones with the bottom clip in the center of the bottom of the paddle. They are designed extremely well and fit the gun like a glove.

Decided on Comp Tac paddle Holster and just received it today. Just wanted to say thanks to all for recommending it. Very nice made and very smooth! Time on getting it was minimal as well!

1.5" belt. I have one for my G19 and G26. Gonna order one for my G38 as well. I like them a lot. Rides tight, secure and the holster always stays on the belt when the gun is drawn.
I have Wilderness 1.5in belt on the way
