I've got a lot of the cheapy Federal from Wally World and I'm wanting to try it out with my Wolf 13# recoil spring. The ammo is listed @ 1125 fps which is <130pf. I'm going to give it a try. Just wondering if anyone else is running a reduced power recoil spring with factory ammo? I'm not worried about that load being to hot for that spring. Would you be?

i wouldn't worry about it too much. my pick would be more like a 14 or 15 pound spring, but only way to know if it works and you like it is to try it.

G19/G17/G34 with 15#spring, G26 with 14# spring and I only shoot factory ammunition in standard, NATO, +P and +P+ with no issues. I ran a 13# spring in my G34 with the same results.

I am using a 13# spring / Jager guide rod in my G17 Gen 4 and have been shooting 115gr UMC FMJ with no problems.
