I shoot IDPA and IPSC with a stock 35 and recently tried an NRA match. It happened to be an area championship. I did notice that 1911 style guns were the choice. I got some strange looks with my choice of guns. I am curious if there is anyone else using Glocks in these type of matches? I finished 4th overall, but felt that maybe I should have picked up the old 45 for this one.;c ;c

I use my G34 in NRA action pistol, its a good game that helps me slow down and concentrate on aiming after shooting USPSA alot.

The Bianchi Cup is NRA Action Pistol. It's shot in many local clubs though it seems to be dying off. A real pity.

http://www.chapmanacademy.com is the range where the cup is held, the club name is Columbia Green Valley Pistol and Rifle Club. Very cool place.

I have shot a G17 in the stock class at one of the local clubs here in Ohio. They host a monthly match. I made it to two this year.

Looks like your club shoots their own version of Action Pistol?

Well...I just did a search. Looks like there are 16 recognized "events" for a club to choose from. Does that sound right?

We always have the same four stages.

Here is a link with all 16 stages:

This club changes the stages for each monthly match. I plan to attend a couple more next year. IPSC is still my preference. But I do need to work on the accuracy thing more.
