Anyone use Glock OEM Night Sights?

Anyone use "OEM Glock Night Sights"???

Just wondering how they compare to Trijicon 3 dot "Bright & Tough" Standard.

The Trijicons are much smaller than factory, especially the front one (less in height, width, then the surface area of the rear sight in more narrow, but just curious if the OEM night sights have Glock's rear sight specs)

The Trijicons are nice, just have to hold it downward more now which makes my wrist ache.

I know the Glock OEM ones used to be made by Mepro, but apparently are now made by AmeriGlo.

Are the Glock Spec as far as the size/profile?

How are the sizes of the white dots in comparison?

Wouldn't mind sights as tall as the originals being In used to holding it that way.

Same. The only Glock I have with different night sights came with them and I don’t know what they are. The OE Glock night sights do everything I need in an analog dot pistol sight system.

They came on my G48. Mine were kinda hard to see.

It became my wife's pistol and she complained that the front sight was difficult to see so I replaced it with a Glock steel sight. The dot is bigger than on the poly sights or the night sights.

She said she had no problems with the rears. Just the front that was giving her difficulty.

Now, of course, it won't help none in the dark though.

I have had them on a couple of Glocks. They are ok, and a good value, but nothing to write home about. I personally would not buy them, unless I couldn't come up with more than $50.

I removed them, sold them for about $50 on ebay, and replaced them with ~$80 Truglo TFO's.

OP here:

Are the OEM Night Sights the same profile as the OEM plastic ones?

I have the Triji's and didn't know they turn beige or yellow when dirty.

Can they be cleaned???

Wonder if rubbing alcohol on a Q-Tip clean the white paint, as my smith recommended that for cleaning the night sights (maybe he meant the actual vial covers tho).

Also, are yours the newer (AmeriGlo) OEM ones, or older (Mepro) ones? (That may only be known if looked up)

I've heard the OEM ones aren't as bright but seems I heard they had larger White Dots, and if so, MAYBE they have the same tall and wide patterned sights as the standard plastic shape.

Used to aiming upward and now aiming straight and kind of crooking my wrist down, very uncomfortable after practicing "dry" when the plastic ones were more comfy to aim, I guess.

I have a set that came on my 2006 G17.3. They are getting dim now. They always worked great. If there was anything I didn’t like, it was they are pretty low height wise. My Trijicon HD’s and HD XR’s are taller, but not too tall. I am going to replace them with Mepros Tru Dots. I’ve used the Mepros in the past and they were great as well. I have a set of Vickers sights on a Vickers G17.3 and those are too tall. I hate those sights.

All I know is that the Trijicon standard has a shorter profile while strains my wrist after some dry practice. The hold is different.

Just got some put on a PX4 storm which is on route, so hope that won't be the same.

Basically, Instead of aiming the muzzle upward a tad to align, have to hold forward or even angle my wrists downward.

Also, whats this about the white circles turning yellow ???????

We had them on all the duty G21's and they were fine. I have them on both my 19X's and see no reason to change. Although I like orange or green outlines on the front sight, the OEM are perfectly serviceable.

The Ameriglos stand a tiny bit taller than the factory night sights. IMHO, that makes them a little faster to use.

Does AmeriGlo make a set like this that has white outlines on the rear, but otherwise, the same look here?

I've been looking for an "HD" type sight that has some highlighted white circles on the rear, but the same cool front post, opposed to a blacked out rear.

I notice it doesn't have the U notch and also doesn't appear to have sharp edges like the HD by Trijicon that is VERY similar!

When you say "too low", are you referring to Trijicons?

I loved the height of the factory plastic ones and now the Trijicons make my practice hold a little (lotta) bit strainus on my wrist when gripping properly, being I have to keep my wrist more straight and/or bent a tad downward, although, may pay off at the range being it forces a more secure grip.

From what I'm reading, the OEMs don't have the issue of white dots turning beige or yellow from carbon like the Triji's, some say the Triji white paint can rub right off with solvent also.

The biggest difference is that supposedly the OEMs have more of "Glowing Orbs" opposed to "Glowing dots.

The OEMs look as if the Tritium Vials are set deeper in the white dot, so they likely reflect more, creating the "Orbs" look I hear about.

I'd have to see in person to judge if I'd want to change.

My current ones are for home defense but now, even at the range, I'm gonna be OCD about them turning Yellow when getting dirty, and if trying to clean, it (apparently) can wipe off the white dot paint....UNLESS, Trijicon has fixed that issue of weak painted circles.

I’m talking about the original Glock night sights that came on my 2006 G17.3. They appear to be the same height as the plastic Glock sights. They work great. But with that said I like the Trijicon HD’s and the HD XR’s better as they seem to be just a bit taller. I also have the Glock night sights on my G19x.

Do you or ANYONE have a side by side comparison pic of the OEM sights (like pictured) beside of the Trijicon 3 dot standard "Bright & Tough" sights? (opposed to the HD which is pictured).

Those are the 2 I would love to see a comparison as they are the most similar.

Had a pair of Trijicons on G19 from 1999 until 2017(???). The armorer then replaced with Glock NS. Absolutely no difference. Now I'm going to replace the front sight with AmeriGlo Bold (in orange).

One of the reason's I'd buy a G45 over a G19x is that I don't want to have to spend all that money on the 19x, and then have to replace the night sights with Ameriglo Bold. I may get a G45 soon for that reason. I can get that gun with the sights I already want. I've compared the two in a gun store months back. You can see that the factory sights are shorter
