I'm surprised that there aren't any threads on the Walther CCP here.

What do you think? I've handled one and it seemed well made and well designed, with a very comfortable grip and a better trigger than I expected. (This was a used pistol and supposedly the triggers improve with use.) The manual safety does seem like an afterthought, but at least it's easy to use and flips down to fire like a 1911 or a CZ.

What really interests me is the gas-retarded blowback action. Does it make +P ammo feel less snappy than it does in other single stack nines?

Have yet to see one, but I'm predicting to hear some interesting responses based on who is actually making this gun.

The owner actually got three in. Out of those, two had to go back, one of which was completely seized up. Besides that, a blind man could tell its crap just by handling it.

It amazes me that people buy such cheaply built, air soft quality handguns and expect them to perform. It makes me laugh.

Yeah, it's easy to do with this software if the script hangs. Heck, it almost did it to my sarcastic post, but instead of clicking reply again, I hit the browser refresh. It can be buggy when the scripts hang.

Military Arms Channel on YouTube recently posted a video on how much he likes it. Prefers it over the G43. I've never handled one but the breakdown is enough for me to say no thanks.

I'm no Glock fanboy, but the G43 is a world's better pistol. Just hearing that would ruin the guy's credibility in my eyes.

I think the CCP is almost as bad as that R51 junk Remington tried to release.

I agree with you. Was surprised he gave it a great review. I stick with my G43

    Wise choice

I like the G43 quite a bit, actually.

Is this Walther (Umarex) actually gas-retarded? I'm a G43 fan; you can actually hit things with it.

Yes, the CCP really is gas-retarded. That's why it has a fixed barrel and the tricky disassembly procedure. I'm curious whether or not that translates into softer felt recoil, especially with +P ammo.

    The way I read it...excessive wear with +P ammunition ( P12):
