I have a Tikka T3 tactical in 308 and a RPR in 6.5 CM. Have only shot out to 400 but plan on visiting a range soon that has metal out to 1500 yrds.

I would love to do some long-range shooting. There aren't any ranges in my area .the closest outdoor range is an hour away driving 80mph.

Used to regularly shoot to 600-700 yds until the range closed.
    A few months back I shot a 338LM to 1.25 miles. Hit a 36" plate 4/8 times.
Would've shot more but the wind was very challenging and it wasn't my ammo.

I have a 6.5 Grendel in a AR15 format and a 6.5 CM in a AR10 format that are tricked out and topped with premium Vortex glass on both.

The Grendel has been out to 581 yards and I need to get out and push is a wee bit more. The CM has been pumping them out to 825 and also needs to be stretched out for a few more yards. Looking forward to hunting mule deer with the Grendel in some open terrain and hoping that the wind is down when we go. For me managing the wind has been a struggle at the top end yards and limited my shooting time. Been out a couple of times and not fired a shot due to the winds.

It is challenging and a sport that needs a fair amount of patience....and that's why I'm struggling with it.

I have a Annie set up to shoot what I call long range, 300 yards. Isn't all the difficult. I can click the scope up and hold dead on at 200 past that I use the hash marks on the Christmas tree to 300.
Use to shoot 7-30 Contender to 300 meters. Had to have a spotter to call my misses to get the holdover figured out.

I just picked up a Tikka CTR 6.5 cm and have gone out to 860 with it. I also have a 6.5 Grendel with a ho hum 20 in barrel that has been ringing steel at 560. I’m putting a new Steiner scope on the Tikka and plan to go out to 1200 with it once the 34mm rings come in. Both of my shooting partners run both 6.5 cm and .308s and we make a day of it every other week.

Yup but mostly shoot praise dogs in 300 to 700 yard range. 644 yards is my longest hit to date.
What do I use? Remington 700 in 223. With Vortex 6-24 scope.
Also a Colt 6724. Longest with my Colt 6724 is 601. Topped with a vortex 6-24

At my range we can stretch out 400 yards.
