Hey all, went to Cabela's today and luckily scored the last 500rd box of Aguila Super Extra 40gr copper plated. Wondering if anyone had success in their G44.
I couldn't pass it up at $30. If they work, they work. If not, I have a lever rifle and a revolver to use them in.
    Thanks!

I have put over 3,000 rds. of Aguila 40 gr. through my G44 with no problems .
Can't say the same about Mini Mags , Rem. G.B. or Federal .

Aguila .22 is usually quality ammo. I have used up most of my supply of Aguila Match Pistol. I use Eley, Aguila, Remington Match Pistol and, best of all, CCI Standard Velocity. The only .22 ammo I have ever had a problem with is Federal Gold Medal HV Match which doesn't work worth crap in guns that are 100% with everything else.

    I haven't tried a Glock 44, but I have a Ruger MKIV 22/45 and a 1911 .22 I built from parts.

Aguila is what the gun range where I work sells for use in their rental Glock 44. Hasn't seemed to be a problem

I picked up a few bricks a few years ago just after the shortage. I have an AA conversion and a 10/22 and the few 50rd boxes I did shoot were flawless. They have a funky smell so I use them for outdoor shooting which isn't that often for me. Someone recently told me that it was from the Ely primer.

I have had a few failure to fire, maybe the gun, probably the round..... But no obvious malfunctions related to the gun.

50 rounds of SV through mine with no issues. Recoil and report were noticeably less than the 36gr MM I was shooting that day also.

I found the super extra copper plated on line for $15.00 a brick back around the first of the year. I ended up buying ten bricks. That is mostly what I have been shooting through my G-44's. Probably shot 2,000 rounds through them with no issues.

The first rounds I fired in my new G44 were Aguila Super Colibri 20 gr in my basement at a pellet gun trap.

Oh so fun to have an indoor range in a suburban neighborhood.

FYI, you have to hand cycle the G44, but it feeds the shorter cartridges pretty well.

I shot a brick each of the 38 and 40 grain Aguila's through mine, and they worked fine.

The only thing I noticed was, they have a different but pleasing smell to them when fired. :)

With the exception of cci ammo ( standard velocity, mini mags etc) I find the aguila more reliable and accurate than the American production federal Winchester or Remington.

I have shot a lot of the higher powered aguila ammo (interceptor, super maximum). It is smokier than the CCI, but the G44 and I like the ammo. There's a Gander mountain by me that sells it. I think though they doubled the price on it.

    Thanks all!
The rounds look like a CCI MM SP to me and I like how they are in individual 50rd boxes instead of loose like Rem GB 525 packs. The bullets on them are nice and tight and not like the Rem GB's where they rotate and are wobbly in the brass. I'm also curious on how they will smell.

For bulk ammo, Rem GB seems to be the best for me (AA conversion and 10/22). I get very few to no failures per 525 rd box. They don't seem to be any less accurate than the Aguila or MiniMags even with the loose bullets but I don't really chase small groups. CCI makes Blazers and those seem to be pretty good too for the same price point as Aguila. They're also individually packed. I got the worst results from Federal American Eagle and AutoMatch. AE seems to be too weak to even cycle my 10/22. AM is ok but I had FTF/FTE's every 100 rds or less. I've only shot a fist full of Winchester M22 a friend had and those worked reliably but I've read that they seem to have overload issues with some batches so I never bought any.
