Cool concept and a great gun. I want to like that round, but just find it hard to ever want to buy. The article said they were making a 5.5" Blackhawk that was an 8 shot gun in the same caliber. Who here has a .327 Mag? I don't hear anything good or bad about it. I would think that it would be a pretty big hit in snub nose, but it hasn't seemed to catch on from what I can tell. Better ballistics than a .38 and could easliy hold 6-7 rounds in a pocket sized snubby. :dunno:

Lots of gun writers liked it, but I've yet to find one they don't like. I'm lured by the idea of a six-shot snub, and it would be easy enough to load for, but I'd rather shoot one first.

I'm also curious to see if any here has one to report on.

Yeah, it's one of the least mentioned rounds on here.

In principle the .327 mag is a good idea, but the high price and the limited availability will keep it from going anywhere.

IMO the only use I can see for the round is in a 6 shot J frame revolver. Putting it in a full size revolver makes no scene to me. :dunno:

My local gun shop has one in stock but I didn't pick it up to look at it. I just can't get in to the Ruger GP100.

Very true. Would be an awesome light weight snubby. Those airweight snubbies in .357 Mag can be a handful. I haven't shot a .327 yet, but they say the recoil is alot less than a .357 and looking at their ballistics, it looks like big medicine in the 115gr Gold Dot.

The round is interesting but it doesn't offer enough to catch on big. It will survive as a niche cartridge but never more.
