Remember 20-30 years ago? Every bowling alley, bar, store had them. They were in a clear plastic bag and you could see how greasy they were! They were also "browned", and soooooo much better than Wise's chips are tody!
    Anyone remember?

You could drive by the plant and the smell was great!

The whole west end smelled like chips.

Then you went by Vaughn's bakery and it also smelled great.

Drooling on the keyboard is not good for it, is it?

I remember these Wise chips! They were hung from racks and sitting on the couters. I especially remember my parents bowling night and how I begged for 10 cents to buy some Wise chips! PLUS, right beside the Wise chips there was the "Slim Jim" display...oh my god,,I needed another 10 cents. Were those the days??

These were the times when "Winky's" burgers were 25 cents! Gas was 20 some cents a gallon and if you filled your car up at the RedHead station they gave you a free case of Pepsi (24 16 oz bottles in a wood case)!

I thought Wise was still in business...

Or are you just saying the chips themselves have changed?

I also remember the old Wise corn chips, once my Mom was eating a bag and when she got to the bottom there was a big clump of chips all stuck together with a piece of used chewing gum.^4

oh man...i forgot about Winky's. there used to be one in town here then it closed down and became Frugal McDugal's.

Frugal McDugal's had THE BEST burgers and fries of ANY fast food joint. this was back in the early 70's.

a friend of mine used to work there and she would always load up a SACK of fries for me when i came in. yum!!
