anyone put together a chopper kit before?

    ive seen them for around $13-15000 and was wondering if they are easily put together? i have watched american chopper and can turn a decent wrench.........

    I haven't done it personally, butknow some people who have done it (one teaches a chopper building class at a local community college). There is A LOT that hits the cutting room floor in any chopper show. They edit down to the good stuff and leave the hours upon hours of wiring, prefitting, and other boring but necessary stuff out.

    Try it, if you can't do it hopefully you know someone who can help you.

    I would go and see if I can find a copy of the assembly manual and browse through it first before committing that much money and found out that it takes more tools and skills than what I have.

    Depends on how modular the kit is, and how much you have budgeted for specialty tools if it is in 80,000 little bits.

    And, maybe it would be wise to decide beforehand what happens if a few of those parts don't turn up and the maker claims it was shipped out....
