So my LEO trade in glock keeps getting weirder. I own quite a few glocks and have never seen this.

It has to do with the trigger system. Usually in the rear housing you have the trigger bar that runs into the mech housing, and is connected by a small spring eh?

Well mine seems to have a floor plate in the rear housing with a spring under it that rides up and down, and the trigger bar goes ontop of it and the connector is NOT flush with the housing, it more of rides somewhat outside of it at a small angle View attachment 226931 .....never seen this before? what setup is this and why is it not just a stock glock setup?

That is a NY1 8lb spring. If you don't like it just swap it out for the stock 5.5lb spring.

Nothing wierd, you have a NY trigger spring 8.5/12lbs.
Get rid of the thing, put the regular trigger spring that gives you 5.5lbs trigger pull.

I had one on my old G23 and loved it.

You can buy the NY1 spring for under $3.00 all day long....lol
I tried it but didn't like the feel. I went with the Ghost ranger 4.5lb connector with the 6lb trigger spring for my g36 carry gun, and the Ghost Ultimate 3.5lb connector and 6lb trigger spring in my g21sf home defense gun. I am very happy with those two setups.

It is a stock Glock setup.

The connector is supposed to be leaning away from the housing, at the top. The connector is a spring that causes the pistol to "reset". A small nub, in the slide, rides over the connector, to reset the trigger bar.

I threw it in my 23. I kind of like it. I let my Girlfriend shoot the 23 so the extra trigger pull is good to help her accuracy while using a harder trigger.
