I love Freebirds. I wish we had one in Tyler. Everytime I'm in Austin/Houston/College Station though it's guaranteed that I will eat there at least once. In fact, somewhere I still have a shirt that says "unwrap my monster" from my college days.

They actually have 27 in Texas and 1 in Norman OK according to their site.

I tried them for the first time in Dallas the other day while visiting friends.

Just opened one in Ft Worth by Alliance airport - FANTASTIC FOOD!!!! Love that I can order online and do a drive by pick up.

If you are in the Keller area I would also rec Don Taco off of heritage trace parkway and 35W. Family owned business with great food as well.

I may have to give them a try sometime.

Im just going to have to move to Dallas. Lots of good food and more to do. You'd think the police jobs there would have better starting pay than Texarkana.

I ate there at least 2-3 times a week when I was at A&M. I try to go to the one here in Austin a bunch as well, though it is about a 20min drive so it is hard to do sometimes.

    I LOVE Freebirds!!

My niece had them cater a birthday party. I was not very impressed. Decent taste but everyone seemed to think it was something special.

(That's the closest GT smilies to a Bic lighter. Which is the proper response to the word FREEBIRD anywhere. LOL)

I have eaten there twice. Today was the second time. Freebird's is not near as good as Chipolte's IMO.

Ewwww Chipolte is disgusting. I have tried to go there a few times in various cities, and could never finish my food because it didn't tasted awful.

Had it once in Austin more than 6 years ago, and haven't been back since (don't live in Texas anymore). I didn't really care for it the one time I had it, but I would like to try it again.
