I'm a big XD/M fan but haven't heard anything. There's always the XD compact 45 until then.

I picked up an XD 45 Compact. Will be evaluating it as a possible replacement for my M&P 45c. They are virtually identical in size and weight (though I think the XD is an oz or two heavier) but of course the XD holds 10 vs 8 plus has the 13-round extended mag. I've never been a fan of the grip safety on the Springies but I can live with it. It does make reholstering IWB safer vs the M&P or Glock.

I'm a big weight critic so I'll really be interested in a Gen 4 30 (IF they ever come out!)

I haven't heard anything either. I sure do miss my xd 45c and am thinking of getting another one. I would rather have a new xdm 45c though if it were available.

Ok, guys, all of you who have been waiting for this one, please explain what interests you about it.

Just curious. I have an XDm .45 4.5" and really like it. Not 'sure' I'd like this one -- is it a 3.8"? Looks a lot like it.

So, maybe you have experience with the compact XD's, but what is it about this model that makes it attractive to you compared to some of the other offerings?
