Why would they compinsate the top of the barrel? Will this blind/ burn you in total darkness? Can you shoot magnum loads?

    1) The blast is nearly unseen when the weapon light is turned on. Which is the only way I'll be firing in total darkness.
    2) Yes. It is chambered for 3" mag loads.

Edited to add that the porting seems to diminish the recoil greatly. Making a second follow-up shot very fast. I even removed the recoil pad on mine because of this, and fitted a metal plate in it's place.

What ammo carrier is that on your stock? I can't tell from your pic if is is elastic or not. If not, how is it mounted?

    Thanks.

How did you attach the shell holder and what brand is it? What light are you running?

It's a very simple design made by Advanced Technology that screws directly to the stock via 6 supplied wood screws.

I really like it. Doesn't go anywhere. Stands up to the -20's and -30's we've had for the last few days also. Many plastics become brittle and break around here during these temps.

Light info can be found here. $99 shipped. Very bright LED-

I bought the DD .12gauge last weekend at a gunshow for $359- plus tax. It seems real solid.
