They were being discussed in another thread and it reminded me that I want to pick up a crate of them. I already have two, but for how cheap and efficient they are, I want a crate of them.

Does anyone sell them by the crate?

Please share your pics or links if you have them.

    Thanks!:)

I actually contacted all the places I could find that sell Nagants. I even tried IO/Tiger Imports but both emails got sent back as undeliverable for some reason.

Classic doesn't have an email do they?

    Thanks!

    Thanks though!:)

A couple of yrs ago I think CFS were selling them by the crate. I'm sure if contact the usual dealers, someone may ship a crate full. It may have been Yugo SKS's now that I think of it.

    Calling them is the best.

So when you read the post about buying 5 Mossins for $39 each it made you think - why didn't I do that - maybe I still can! So did I!

I have a C&R on file with SOG International Inc (Southern Ohio Gun Distributors, Inc) - so I get their monthly flyer - they always have a deal if you buy 5 Mossins.

They have 91/31 in stock for $77 each - if you buy 5 the price is $69.95. (+$10 if you have them hand pick)

I am scratching my head trying to recall - been a while - but I think the last time I ordered from them shipping was $15 - for the first gun +$10 additional guns.

    So 5 Mossin Nagants = $404.75 or $80.95 each - :dunno:

Not sure this link will work -

Be REAL careful when dealing with Classic Arms, and be SURE they give you the total, including shipping, before you authorize a charge. They got me once, and once was enough.

I wonder if SOG has a better deal if you take a whole crate?

I read on gunboards that Classic is supposed to have free shipping on "larger" orders. Not sure how true it is though.

    Thanks!

Unless it says "free shipping", there is ALWAYS a shipping cost. If you didn't enquire about the total cost, it just shows your lack of understanding how business operates.......your mistake, not Classic Arms.

I agree, however if they jacked the price up on him on the items then that's a horse of a different color. I had a dealer do that to me once. I ordered a gun, he quoted me a price, then when the gun came in, he charged me 10-15 bucks more than he said he would. Looking back I should have just walked out, but live and learn. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me...so he never got my business again.

Exactly! I have dealt with Classic Arms 6-7 times over the years. Never a problem, then again I read, and ask questions.:whistling:

Oh another question....which are the shorter/shortest Nagants?

I have two and one is pretty long and the other is more compact. I'd like a crate of the compact ones.

    Thanks!:)

    Also agreed, EMT......

If it's "bait and switch", I wouldn't put up with it at all. I assume you paid the extra charge because you wanted the item....even though it was clearly bad business practice to charge more without consulting the customer first. If that's what happened, I'd be forever skeptical of that place of business from then on......:steamed:

In the case of shipping charges.....well, that's just to be expected, unless it's stipulated prior to the sale that it would be free shipping.

Good luck on your case price.....and let us know what you come up with.

    M38 or M44

May not be 100% correct but the M38 is basically the same size as the M44 - but the M44 has the permanently affixed, folding cruciform-spike bayonet.

I want an M38 - they always cost more than the 91/30 or M44 -

Yup, that's exactly what happened. But I could have walked out and had Wal-Mart order me one for a cheaper price...just got bit in the *** for using the little guy I guess. However, at my new dealer, he knew the other guy and said he's known for being a jackass...others have since told me the same.

I'll keep yall updated if I hear anything.

    Thanks!
