I need a Steyr M9A1 and I as well as local gun dealers are having a hell of a hard time locating one. Ive found a few but they're going to be $600 by the time I pay shipping, transfers, and such. They list for $560. Slightly used/new is fine. But I want an m9a1, not the m9. Can anyone help me out?
You need to look on Gunbroker, Steyr stopped importing them, they said due to the weakening dollar. I love mine and will not be selling it, but if another one comes in the shop some time soon I'll PM you and see if you have found one.
Too easy How about $399 new? http://www.shopdunns.com/products/777/steyr_m_a1_pistol_great_price/ I got the M40-A1 a month or so ago. You have to call and make the purchase over the phone. Cheers!
Gunbroker has them for $560 my dealer said. I was hoping to find one a bit cheaper. Thanks, I appreciate that.
Go to www.ar15.com "Equipment exchange". Then, go to handguns for sale. There's a guy in tennessee selling a lnib M9A1 for 425.00. He's also selling additional mags.
I posted a couple of days ago about a second hand M9 I saw in CT at the Newington Gun Exchange. Did you check that one out?
Thanks... But that one is advertized as face to face only. Id email him and ask him if he'd consider shipping through a dealer but ar15.com is crazy and wont accept a yahoo address to register on their forum. If anyone wants to be really nice, I would appreciate it if they would forward him my email... jp3975@yahoo.com and tell him i'm interested in his steyr. Here's his thread: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=7&f=88&t=737270
They dont seem to have anything atm. Really would prefer the A1. But thanks. I'll go have a look anyway.
M9 M9A1 M9 has weird safety, M9A1 has no safety (Glock) M9 has ok grip, M9A1 has awesome grip M9 has no rail, M9A1 has rail
Yes, that's what they may say. What a friggen lame excuse. The truth is, Steyr has always had a lousy/crappy/#*&+ed up marketing and a questionable organisation structure. After all Steyr was infiltrated by burocrates a long time ago. Shame on you, management overseas! You guys can't even ship a rail for the ProHunter rifle; what a bunch of loosers. Jack Riddle and the domestic fellas are the good guys, btw. I don't snipe at them. PS: I love my Steyr pistols too and will not sell.
I thought they didnt accept hotmail. It said you have to use secured email address...like for a home pc i would assume. Its crazy.
This is subjective, to say the least. M9 has a very unique safety, similar to some rifles and if a BG were to get it from you he'd NEVER figure out how to make it work. M9 has an extremely ergonomic grip, although it doesnt have the texturized surface of the A1. M9 has a proprietary rail. I have both and STILL can't decide which one I'd have a preference for. There are MA1 models with the same manual safety, but they're far more rare in the US.
