Can't seem to get it off my brain!! Boat is at the dealer getting summerized, some upgraded speakers and a remote stereo controller installed on the transom. Spent the evening getting the cleaning supplies, waxes, microfibers etc all lined up for the big spring detail!!

Boats, bikinis and beer!! damn I love summertime in Texas!!

Although I do enjoy the prep and playing captain, a buddy paying for a boat would have some welcome rewards as well!

+1000. The neighbor to the north of me owns a plane, and the one to the west owns a boat. I pay for fuel and will never move. HH

Spent SIX HOURS cleaning mine on Tuesday.

Letters are going on Saturday ("Knotty Boys") and then it's gettin' waxed.

Next will be the ~$400+ fill-up, then off to her slip for the summer!!! :)

It's a long story.. But basically, it was my father in laws, and it was given to us recently. We are just cleaning it up, and selling it for what we can get out of it. The way the lakes are around here in the summer anyway, we would have to drag it to Texoma or the gulf to even put it in water.

Please check over your safety equipment. Add a couple of life jackets to your collection.
Make it a safe boating season.
    Please.

Agreed. My boat is 100% emptied in the fall and everything gets put back in by my wife and I after inspection. This way everyone knows whats where and what needs replacing.

Beer cooler always needs a few more added to the collection

    Time for a Yeti!

Seriously -- it might not be the coldest thing on the plantet as far as coolers go, but it sure as hell is the strongest!

I'll never buy another cooler again in my lifetime, because I won't have to!

Actually can't wait to splash Skinnydipper! After 14 years of being rode hard and put away wet (so to speak) we gave her a facelift. Fiberglass chips repaired, new upholstery, new carpet, new dash and gauges, new No Feedback steering system, etc...

    Boat's ready to go.

    Having fun overhauling reels and rods,just finished 2 Penn 130's, have 2 80's, 2 50's and 2 850SS reels to go.
Then have 6 rods to pull rollers and lube them, then install about $500 worth of new line in the reels.

Next it's tackle inventory and re-rigging as needed, then will be ready for the Tuna season.

    BOAT= Bust Out Another Thousand!!!!!

Money spent on Boat and fishing-Too Much

A 200 pound YellowFin Tuna on the deck for Sushi and Sashimi? PRICELESSS!!!

I typically wait until May 1 to call the local marina to pull my boat out of storage because the ice is usually still in the lakes. I might make the call tomorrow. That won't speed up the fishing opener any.
