I have handled and shot one. I know a guy that had one transferred in through the range I used to run. It was a very nice gun. The fit and finish were top notch. It was exceedingly accurate even though I didn't get to put it through a thorough evaluation. The nicest NightHawk I've played with.

I've seen and handled one at a show. They have been around a while.

Quality is the same as any other Nighthawk, with some additonal features.

Not bad, but you don't spend $4,000+ on a semi custom 1911.

There are far too many full custom 1911s to choose from starting in that price range.

For $4000 and a bit of patience you could find a real Heinie although it would most likely be a used one.

Yeah, why anybody would pay that kind of money for a Heinie look-a-like from Nighthawk is beyond me and I'm a big fan of Nighthawk.

You can get a new one now for under $3500 street price with the no cost Hard Chrome included and six mags. Still EXPENSIVE though. Gunbroker has a used Richard Heinie at auction. Not nearly as nice to me.

That's actually not a bad price, considering the HC finish is free. My Enforcer and Predator cost nearly that much after options.

That said, I like the feature set of these two more than the Heinie Nighthawk.

That Para isn't a full blown custom. Its one of his lower end packages, plus its on a Para of all things.

Why someone would pay all that money to upgrade a POS high cap Para is beyond me.

They list it as a Springfield. What's up with that? I only thought Para/STI offered hi cap 1911 frames?

I knew about them 6 months before they came out.. I had 4 nighthawks and called Craig Gholson a few years ago... to order a GRP when Mr. Gholson told me to hold off that they where coming out with a new model ... long story short 8 Months later I got one of the first ones and did not think it was worth the money .. I think I paid around $ 2800 or $2900 when they first came out. ... I no longer have it... it's long gone.....

I think the Talon shoots just as good for a lot less cash...

Armscore, SV Infinity, BUL, Caspian, there are more...but yes Springfield does contribute a hi-cap to the pool
