So I don't carry my weapon, I just use it for home defense and fun at the range. I realize the downfalls of the OE Glock sights, and it seems like everyone here replaced them. But for my purposes, they work just fine. Anyone else feel that way?

PS, Love this 19. Was shooting pretty consistent 5" groups at 5yds which is awesome for me lol

I have no problem with stock Glock sights. I have them on all but one Glock

I like the Glock factory sights. I've seen a few older Glocks with the original sights and the stood up to a lot of knocking around without suffering any damage. My Glock 23 is a police turn-in and the sights are just fine.

If Glock needs to make anything out of steel instead of plastic it's the RSA (recoil spring assembly) but most hard-core Glockers collectively beleive that plastic guide rods must never be changed while plastic sights must be changed immediately if not sooner.

Yes, the factory "night" sites! What a bargain!

Thanks guys. It seemed like I was the only one that likes the factory sights. Good to see I'm not.

I don't dislike them and would not spend the money to upgrade them for no reason.

Up to them, people buy pet rocks or whatever the latest fad is. IMO, their money, but the originals on mine are just fine.

Yes, I figure I can have more fun upgrading the shooter (practicing) than upgrading the sights.

I dropped my Glock and the plastic sights were smashed. Changed them with Meprolights and I'm happy.

They are ok. None of mine came with steel front and rear sight. A couple (G19 and 17) of mine had the front sight get chewed up on barriers, in competition. Cutouts in plywood walls being the culprit. Am slowly changing all the sights to Heine Slant Pro.

I have night sights on all my Glocks except my G22 Gilly which has the original Glock sights. That is my favorite Glock pistol. Shoots great with the standard sights.

Nothing wrong with the OEM sights and nothing wrong with changing them to something else. Use what suits you best.

Stock for me also. If replacing them because they are damaged would replace with factory steel.

Hate them. They are merely dovetail protectors in my opinion. They don't even work right in that the dot ends up partially obscured by the bottom of the rear sight if the tops of the front and rear are level.

I have night sights on all of mine, but if I wasn't interested in night sights, I'd replace them all with the mall black Defoor sights by Ameriglo. The OPs 5 inch group at 5 yards is something I've done at 25 yds with the Defoor sights.

It's your gun, so you can do whatever you want. Myself I prefer plain black rear with a small red fiber front sight. Makes it easier/faster to hit a head target at a farther distance.

I actually LIKE the OEM Glock sights, and get great results using them.

Use whatever makes you happy. Adding tritium sights for faster target acquisition hardly qualifies as a "fad" but use what ever you prefer. No wrong answer, obviously.
