And don't try to tell me that BOTH of them aren't marketing their attractiveness! Big Booms go a long way toward making a popular video. :wow:
I'm speaking for myself here but...
I wouldn't necessarily say it's "marketing" attractiveness.
It's no secret to anyone, anywhere, that appearance matters. I wish it didn't but it does and when you are a woman, for some reason it matters even more.
There are heavy-set, unattractive men all over the internet who have great followings in certain topics with no comment on their appearance but the women who try to do the same are continuously critiqued by their appearance.
I find it quite humorous that a lot of negative comments I get have NOTHING to do with the content of my videos but about my appearance or the sound of my voice or my hair, etc.
Now, one thing I try to be very careful about is my modesty. I don't want to be see as some girl who likes to show it all off just to get people to watch me. If my content is good it should be able to stand on its own feet without help from my thighs, chest, or whatever.
Trying to entice views with my body is disrespectful to myself; disrespectful to my husband; disrespectful to the message of my videos and to the people who are looking for information.
I think I would have failed if someone were to say, "She's just another bimbo with a gun showing off her body."
People have messaged me and told me that they would watch me more if I would show more skin and my reply is always that if the kind of content they are looking for then they will never find it in my videos. To think I have to prostitute my body for people to listen to my content is sickening to me.
