    So here's the deal........
I have an unattractive, ash tray breath female flirting with me at
work. I've tried to ignore her, avoid having to talk to her, avoid
areas where she is at on breaks. ,done this for three weeks....no help.

Last week, she stated' "What cologne are you wearing,....you smell GOOD!"
Keep in mind, I am a Weldor at Caterpillar. This statement was
made 8+ hours into a 12 hour shift. 90+ degrees in Kansas.

    She is flipping nuts,.......suggestions?! :dunno:
Do not care to get into a situation where I end up saying something
I should not and have to chat with HR.

How about, "thanks! My boyfriend loves it too!"

(not that there's anything wrong with that)

Come to an agreement with her. Strike a deal.

You hit it once, she leaves you alone. You make two terms, she brushes her teeth immidately before and lights off at all times.

    Your welcome. :)

But, you SHOULD be having a chat with HR.....

Unwanted attention like this is SEXUAL HARASSMENT

Think some chick would hesitate to report you if you let your eyes linger a nanosecond too long?!?!? Or she THOUGHT you did?!?!?

Have her "overhear" your cellphone conversation about your newly discovered STD.

No, because she is basically stalking him in the workplace.

    1. If she was hot, you wouldn't care.
    2. This is similar to the race card: Men can sexually harass women, but women cannot sexually harass men.

Tell HR, and let them deal with it. That's what they get paid to do.

Oh, I'm sorry. I must have missed the part about her stalking him.

YES. It is sexual harassment if she is making unwanted advances or comments about him. Including his smell......

    And this.

All the time, only the attractives one seem to hit on me. :tongueout::supergrin::rofl:

All kidding aside though, I'd just ignore her, and continue on. I personally have done this, and even flirted back to ones I wasn't interested in, just for fun.

    No.

Do it because this crap escalates. Nip it in the bud. Let HR deal with it.

We had a nut job girl hitting on everyone. Then she turned everyone in who did not reciprocate the flirting. The only thing that saved our butts was the fact that enough of us had reported her already.

    Yes.

    I dealt with her harshly.

    And repeatedly.

It's only sexual harrassment if he told her to stop and she continues to do so!

    DOCUMENT DOCUMENT DOCUMENT

A paper trail now, beats handing her loads of paper later, after a court date......

    Sometimes here, sometimes there
Have the chat with HR first. Then tell her politely to stop.
