I just started watching this show on history channel. Pretty good and remind me of when we lived in the country and went to the local racetrack to watch the races.

On a side note anyone that watches this show...can you point out the meth-head on here?

It used to be the history channel, now it is the crappy reality show channel.

Really! Axmen, pickers, pawn stars. Madhouse, I'm sure I'm leaving something out. Sad thing.....I kinda like all of em except pickers. That one was ok but that's about it.

Some days all they on is monster quest or UFO shows. Those are even worse.

It was never truly history, they always had a slant or made mistakes on things. I liked it when it was part documentary part old war movies/shows. I can remember watching Baa Baa Blacksheep all the time.

Tweeker = I can't remember his name, but the skinny, herky-jerkey guy who was waiting on the laptop guy to run his program to calculate wheel weights and car balance.

This remnds me of central PA and occassionally going to the tracks there - Seilingsgrove, Williamsgrove and Port Royal 30+ years ago.

I hate the show but have watched it for the third week. I can't believe they actually race like that, but it is NC. The guy I like is Jr, with the meth head wrench man.

    Yep... Love MADHOUSE!

The methhead..... Uh... that'd probably be Junior Miller's crew chief...

I liked it better when it was derided as "The Hitler Channel".

Crap like Ax Men, Madhouse, Pickers, Pawn Stars, et. al. belong on Discovery.

Much rather be watching History's Mysteries, Tales of the Gun, Wild West Tech, Barbarian Invasion, and their Lost History presentations (A Secret History of the KKK, The SS, Cults). Heck even Modern Marvels and UFO Files is better than the Reality Crap.

Oh well at least History International is still something like the Old History channel... though I still haven't seen TotG, tSS or SHotKKK on it.

As for Madhouse, I grew up at such monuments to redneckdom as Talledega Superspeedway, The Dirt Track across the road, Lassiter Mountain, Steele, Sayre, and BIR... If I wanted to watch rednecks act stupid I could go to any number of local places.

I fear the History Channel will soon go the way of TNN.

Let's hope not... I'm one of the few out there who really liked TNN... Watched it from it's start till finish... of course, I'm a musician, so most of the stuff on there appealed to me..
