It's a fantastic game. Been playing it for over a year on PC and a few months on XBOXLA.

Some people don't get it, others latch onto it.

If you can imagine it, you can create it. I only wish it was coded in C++ instead of Java.

Put me in the "dont get it" crowd. I am a huge computer game nerd, but I just don't get it with that game. Not appealing at all to me.

Anyone play the Android version? It sounds like it has some critical differences from the PC version.

Played it on the PC, then got it for XBox. Love the Xbox version as you can have 4 play at once! Fun thing to do with the kids sometimes.

I don't but my boys do, my #2 son makes Minecraft video animations in You Tube. Here is one of his latest. He does them under Slamacow Creations.

Great little game. Got turned on to it a year or two ago. Talk about addictive!

I'd also suggest a game called Terraria. It's 2D sidescroller, but borrows a lot from Minecraft, and is equally addictive. However, there is a point in Terraria where you just "Okay, I'm done." and stop playing for a while.

I have Minecraft on my tablet and it is fun, but it's a totally different game. I cant get used to the controls, but my niece is utterly addicted.

Yes. Myself, and about 5 of my buddies all play this game on PC. My friends server address is play.eyeofwisdom.org . Unfortunately the server is mainly occupied by 10 year olds, but me and all my buddies are 20+ so at least you got some other adults on. If anyone asks where you learned of the server, just tell them Joe informed you. No benefits to me, just to help them understand where the advertising is at.

heh....I do mean addictive. I picked up the android version first: Good but limited in some ways, so I picked up the PC version....to my doom. Got a copy for my daughter as well and play together on a server. It's great sandbox fun. Imagine being in a world where you have an infinite amount of leggos and can build anything you want...
