Just wondering if anyone else on the forum has a turtle for a pet.

I personally have a red eared slider turtle who brings a great amount of joy to my life.

Not quite my pet, but it lives around my property:

Also, I was surprised to see very large red eared sliders living wild in a local city pond.

now have 2 red eared sliders in 30 GAL SET UP.
    THESE ARE OUR SECOND SET
wife has always loved turtles and they seem to respond to her!
they hide whenever anyone else comes near but come to the top FAST for her!
we also had a snapper once for 8 yrs. (released when too big to keep)
we rescued fron a parking lot being built near us.

We had an eastern painted, a pond slider, and a snapping turtle. It's surprising how much personality they have. We ended up releasing all of them at different times. They were all hatched in the wild and we released them in the same waters they came from. The slider was about 7" long when we let him go, and the snapper was pushing 12". I do miss them sometimes, but not the tank cleaning.:)

I've got a 6-month-old Cockatiel that I named "Turtle", but I'm thinking that isn't what you had in mind. ;Q

I have a pair of Box Turtles. I always liked Box Turtles, I've had a few over the years.
