Anybody here ever converted a Glock 24 longslide .40 to 357sig?

I am thinking of getting a 24 and converting it to 357sig. I am assuming all I need to do is change out the barrel to an aftermarket one. I am not sure on whether to go 24C and get a barrel ported to match it(if possible?)or to go with a ported barrel that extends out the end, either way I am going ported. The gun will be a fun gun and maybe house gun. I will probably go with a polished 3.5 trigger in it. Some type of fiber optic sight will most likely go up front. I might even go with the large race type mag extension for it. I figure the gun will be deadly accurate, have a ton of firepower, and even be very quick shooting. Sounds fun.

Does anybody have any experience with one of these and if so, what did you do and what kind of performance were you getting out of it? What kind of performance can I expect out of that length barrel? How about with Doubletap Gold Dots? :)

BTW, I bought one of the 33s when they first came out and absolutely love it! I carry it most everywhere I go. I have never felt so much confidence out of a small handgun. It's so accurate, I can almost literally shoot smiley faces with it. lol

I bought a factory G32 .357 Sig barrel for my G23 40S&W and all I did was change the barrel and blast away. It uses same mags and shoots just fine. I bought the barrel from Glockmeister.com for 120 bucks.

G24 to .357 Sig? Now THAT sounds like a neat conversion.

Just wondering-can the Glock 35 be converted to the 357 sig?
I was thinking of trying to save up and buy the whole gun, but if I can just go with a barrel>>>>>>>>
If it is a possibility, can anyone suggest a place to buy the barrel. Thanks. JIM

You can get KKM barrels from Glockmeister.com. From placing the order to getting the barrel was only 6 days I think.

dang now I'm thinking the G35 conversion might be more practical especially with the extended ported barrel out the end. But then again I don't know that this gun is supposed to very practical, lol I wonder how much more fps I get out of the extra length ;)

Really that 35 is something I didn't think of.

I have a 357 SIG 6" KKM barrel for my G24. However, mine is older than the serial # Glock recommends for conversion. You may need a FG&R frame for full compliance with Glock's recommendation. You can call them for the serial # cutoff.

You can also use the longer barrel in a 22, 31, & 35.

    Good shooting!
    :) :) :) :)

Thanks for the info. I am thinking about getting the Federal 357 sig barrel for the Glock 35. I was wondering too about if the recoil spring would have to be changed too. Thanks for the input. JIM

I use the stock springs. If you do some searches you can find some additional info.

    Good luck & good shooting!
