    Hi guys, does anybody here have tried and shot the new Glock Gen 4? I have a 3rd Gen glock 17 and I'm thinking about selling it and get the new Glock 17 Gen 4. I really do like the new grip texture and the back strap. but I wanna make sure first that it's reliable and dependable like the older Glock generation.

    let me know

    Thanks,

    I have one and I'm in the process of getting a quantity of rounds through it and a review done up.

    The Gen4 G22 is GREAT! I'm at the 200 round mark now, and will add another 100 this week. It's been problem free.

    Love my Gen4 G22, reliability is on par with every other Glock I own, A.K.A. 100%. Will be anxiously awaiting the Gen4 G19.

    I also own a Gen 4 model 22. I really do not notice any difference in handling over the previous model 22.

    How about a softer recoil with the Gen 4?

    Why do you want to get rid of the gen3? I have the gen4 g17 but only because I needed the large grip for it to fit my long hands. If you need a smaller or larger grip then its worth it. If not I wouldn't personally change for the recoil spring but that's just my 2 pennys

    I've put ~500 rounds down the pipe of my Gen4 G22 during the past few weeks and it has been 100% reliable, very accurate and fits my hand better than the Gen3.

    I'll be on the lookout for a Gen4 G19 when they are released.

    thanks for all the replies. I'm selling my 3rd gen glock 17 after I move to my new place and get the G4 Glock 17. I have nothing against 3rd gen in fact I love 'em but the grip texture and back strap on G4 feels better in my hand..

    whats is the advantage of the dual recoil spring vs single spring? sorry I never really pay attention to that til now..
