Uwharrie National Forrest northeast of Albemarle NC has a well kept PUBLIC 100 yard outdoor range and a 25 yard handgun range.I'm in Union County (Weddington area), and I just bought an annual at Take Aim across the border in SC (35 minutes from home). I love shooting outdoors, and it doesn't seem overly crowded.

check your PMNice! Can you provide the coordinates or the address of these public ranges? I want to take my son there to check it out.
