Was Just curious... Anybody here collect 'Bayonets'? Pics!
I just collect knives and I have a bayonet in the collection:
WoW! Very Nice!
Is that an OKC Ontario Kife Co? I have the OKC version but in desert tan. I even carried it when I was in Iraq, I liked to put it on and walk around, it scared everyone around me!
Yes, it is the Ontario Knives version.
I've managed to scrounge these over the years...
Oh yeah, when I was in Iraq I picked up a few AK-47 bayonets, they're super cheap and they really suck, but I think I paid like $3-4 for them! They're in storage, so no pics!
The AK bayonets I have are REALLY poor quality. I'm not even sure if they're real metal. But I guess any 12-yr-old Iranian sent to the front would be happy to have it.
Yeah...I collect Kalashnikov bayonets and variants.
I think I have about 42 different AK bayonets currently, and still have some scarce ones to get.
Most ppl just think of them as "another AK bayonet" but there are some hard to find ones.
Countries include Russia, East Germany, Hungary, Romania, Egypt, Iraq, China, Poland, Cuba, N. Korea, Yugoslavia, Bosnia, Finland etc etc etc.
Some very common ones around..but it makes for an interesting theme.
I only have one, it's a Wenger WWI bayonet made for a Sig autorifle.
Mine is a surplus piece, and although it's an antique, it's only worth around $15!
Have about 50+ bayonets.... started out with a few and then just couldnt stop myself.....
I think you MAY be mistaken about the age of this bayonet as SIG did not make autoloading rifles in the "War to end all wars" (WW1).
