Any one near East Central Florida, Daytona, etc., doing any spring
gobbler hunting? I was looking for land to hunt; could pay nominal
amount for the privilege. Non-drinker, non-smoker, would be highly
respectful of your land. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks kindly.

Well, I'm a little further north of Daytona, but I did get a nice gobbler or hen just down the road. After I hit him/her, wasn't much left of him. ; )

We had a lot of wild turkeys in south central Ohio, but they were very timid. Since I've moved to FL, I've seen hundreds of wild turkeys along the road, in broad daylight, often in large flocks. Wow!

I guess that's not really thread hi-jacking with those (2) posts.
Still looking for any options on land availability. Tks.

No it's not. It also keeps your post higher in the list of posts...

    Hey DeLandSkyjumper,

That's some pretty expensive ammo you used on that turkey. ;) Good to see you survived, but was there any road rash?

    One45,

Sorry I don't have any pointers for places to turkey hunt around here. What little bit of hunting I do is usually done in south GA on private property. Good luck with your search.

Surprisingly, no, which I'm glad. I hit'm at over 120mph. wild ride though. ; ) From point of impact, I sent him about an easy 150yrds. I found where I hit'm cause of all the features on the side of the road and my windscreen, what was left of hit body was about 150yrds. away.

    My appologies One45
