I have the Rainier Arms Evolution made by Samson and I love it. Pretty light for being almost 12.5".

Seems very similar, I have a Sampson rail on my AA piston
upper. Quality is even with Troy. If price were even I would
get a Troy over the Sampson.

I have a RUC 14.5 with the same.... super light and I like diameter for my hand size when shooting with a thumb over support grip and a Magpul AFG.

Nothing against Sampson, I just like the round vent holes
of the Troy better than the cuts in the Sampson

Check. I like that it uses a stock barrel nut and can be added after a muzzle.device has been welded on

That's why I purchased my Samson Evo. I really like it but sold it (11") to purchase a 13".

The 12.37", my rounding was .13 off the mark.

I actually prefer the Samson rails. They seem sturdier than the Troy's.

This was the last post by my son, Adam on the Black Rifle section. He loved this forum as well as many others. He passed away on August 7th after fighting brain cancer, and I hope you all will keep him in your hearts and think of him as I will, especially at the range. My gun club, The Detroit Sportsmen's Congress just had their junior invitational skeet shoot this last Sunday and they named it after him. A great tribute to the BEST son a man could have.

Put a Samson Evo on my brother's build. Really like it and will be putting one on my 9mm SBR build as well.

On another note, I avoid Troy as I'm not certain they really stand for the rights of citizens to keep and bear arms.
