You can't go wrong with the Glock light.

Love the Glock Tac light! The Streamlight TLR-1 is the most popular

After a lot of research, I found the WX150 by Insight to be the best for the $.
It's mounting and dismounting is far superior to the TLR-1, and it also is slightly brighter and also has the strobe feature if you like that. (I personally will likely never use it, but I thought it was cool anyway... lol)

The main reasons for me picking it were
    1) mounting/dismounting without anything needed by my fingers
    2) 15 more lumens

for $30 more than the TLR-1.

I have the Streamlight TLR-1 and a Surefire X-200. Like them both.

The SF seems a bit brighter, but may be that light is just "whiter". I like the TLR-1s activation a little better (easier to manipulate, esp as a lefty).

    Both are great lights.

I just got the Streamlight tlr-2 from Manventure Outpost. Great price and included shipping. They also have the TLR-1 on sale also. I have mine mounted on the Glock 23. It comes with adapters for other firearms also. And is LED vs Bulb. Laser can be seen outdoors at night for a very long distance. And the light is very bright and functions easily, which is a plus!

I played with the TLR-1 and found that the switch activation options were very handy. I'm gonna buy one soon for my nightstand G21. Very cool.

I'm personally a fan of the TLR-3, but also love the TLR-1!

I've got an insight x2l and it doesn't sit well on my glock 23 - its a subcompact light fits great on my xd and xd subcompact as they have slightly different rails. The x2l light isn't as bright as i'd like but I like the integrated laser. My guess is the streamlights are better, but I got the x2l for a good price.

My friend has a viridian green laser light combo that I love and will be buying one soon, it has a great white light that can be used as strobe or solid on, as well as has the green laser which is absolutely baller, but these are really expensive.

The best light, alone, without "bells & whistles" - IMHO surefire. Followed closely by the streamlights. Surefire's prices are wild though.

TLR-2 for my g20, very bright, has a laser if you desire and easy access to temporary or permanent on/off. I haven't tried the others but you cannot go wrong with this one

I had an Insight M3 on a G22c (I only say "had" because I no longer have that firearm). I really liked that light. Some of the great features are the ambi switch, constant or temp on, very bright, does not extend past the nose of the gun, easy to put on and remove. I liked the light so much that I even put one on a benelli defense shotgun that I "had". On the shotgun I used the optional remote pressure pad. The Insight m6 (which I have not used) has a laser as well as the light.
Something else to keep in mind, is that if you want to be able "carry" with your light on the weapon, you will probably need to do a bit of research to find a light that is compatible with your favorite holster style. Good luck

I bought a new gen.-3 23 (and sold my gen.-2 23) so that I could mount a light on it. I bought a new Glock GTL10 and am very pleased with it. the switch is ambidexterous and can be reached by my trigger finger, and while the light is Xenon and hence has a warmer color balance than LED lights, it's QUITE bright.

I have an extra (used) GTL10 for sale in the buy/sell mart.

Thanks for all the info guys. Most of them seem to be right at my price point. Has anyone ever heard of the hellfighter underboss weapons light?? Anyone have any experiance with one? They have a xenon and led model.

BTW you can find the X300 on Ebay for under $250. Sometimes WAY less. 1 of mine was $175.
For a Holster check out Safariland. That's what mine in is & I've been very happy.

So hows the fit on the holster? It dosent feel like would fall out? I've always felt better with a thumb strap or button strap to hold it in but then again Ive never really tried one like this.

I have a Streamlight TLR-3 on my Glock 19. Love it so far. It's very bright and compact.
