I've long been interested in one of these: http://www.wacom.com/bamboo/bamboo_touch.php

but not as my primary device; as crazy as it sounds, if I'm drinking something with my right hand that I normally mouse with, I'd like to be able to keep on scrolling or doing whatever I'm doing, so I'd like to place this on the left side of my keyboard, opposite my mouse.

Plus, that Bamboo pad just seems coooool.....

I currently have a Microsoft wireless mouse & keyboard set, any reason I couldn't also add the Bamboo?

Have I just officially blown past the "I'm a total dork loser" line now?

no reason you can't. I've got an HP ps/2 laser connected along with my USB Logitech MX Revolution so that if i forget to recharge my mx revo for some reason, i'm not stuck without a mouse for an hour or two. I've also got a cheapie USB drawing tablet attached as well. All function at the same time, so i make sure to put whatever i'm not using out of the way so it doesn't get bumped accidentally.

I'm sitting here using my Lenovo Thinkpad laptop and it has a touchpad and an pointing stick mouse and 2 sets of buttons.
Plus I usually plug in an external mouse so why not....

Yeah, but since the touch area represents the entire desktop (all of your monitors) I would probably want the larger Bamboo Fun ($199) since my desktop is 9216 x 1600. I always need the top of the line stuff.

No...if you have the ports, it'll work.

I knew of some professional online poker players, who while they liked their mouse of choice (usually wireless), would always have a wired mouse hooked up within reach just in case their mouse stopped working for some kooky reason.
