Man.. I'm having no luck finding a stripped lower in stock. I've found a couple places that have Aero Precision.. but I'm not really crazy about those.

Am I overlooking something.. or are they tough to find now days? (trying to avoid auction sites)

Any particular reason you don't like the Aero lower?

Sent from the USS Sulaco, while nuking the site from orbit.

It took me months to find the spike's tactical lower that I wanted for a good price. And now, I literally cannot find the same lower in stock anywhere.

From what my LGS is saying, lowers are extremely hard to come by. If I were you, I'd go ahead and pick up the Aero Precicison lower, unless you absolutely hate the rollmark. Because from what i've been reading over the past few months, a lower is a lower is a lower. Please, anyone correct me if I'm wrong!

It's like big screen LCD TVs. There's only 3 real manufactures that make them for everyone.

Lowers are probably made the same way and it's just the roll mark that's different like Big Money says.

Sure, there's probably a few that pay a little extra maybe for a tweak here and there but all in all, they're mostly the same.

I have lowers from many different manufactures, and while they all work fine, they are not all the "same" either. Fit and finish vary from one to another. Some are more of a flat grey others are closer to a shiny black. Lower parts all fit fine. My RockRiver lowers have a very tight upper/lower fit. Anyhow in no particular order, PSA, PK Firearms, and Essential Arms all have lower in stock. Those were 3 out of the first 4 I checked quickly, the other being AIM and they're out of stock.

I've used a PSA for my first build- just completed the lower- and I must say, I'm very happy with PSA's quality.

Aero Precision makes the lowers for Spikes, PSA and Surplus Ammo Arms. Mil spec lowers are all basically the same

Spikes stated that they use several different sources for thier lowers not just one. PSA switched over to LW lowers early last summer. They haven't sold aero lowers since then.

According to some stickies over on AR15.com LAR currently makes spike's tactical lower who also make the new Neveske lowers along with a few others. MMS used to make the spike's tactical and now makes lowers for alexander arms, gunsmoke, and a few other companies.

If anyone has more information, please correct me!

Mostly all lowers are the same, if they are forged and mil spec it just comes down to what logo do you want. Me I can't stand Spikes lowers because of that spider that looks like a weird Darth Vader, Stag has a deer that drives me crazy. PSA, Aero Precision and Surplus Ammo Arms have nice logos IMO.

Areo Precision makes lowers for spikes too as well as FN. If you'd like go to arfcom and read up on the spikes forum under industry.

i've had no issues with my LW lowers from PSA. I've built up a CMMG lower and a New Frontier Armory lower.

psa and nfa are selling their lowers for $79+shipping and are in stock.
in fact, my nfa g-15 lower should be back today from the engraving. going to build it this weekend and then let it sit while i wait on the ATF for my SBR tax stamp. I sent in three other form 1s for work to build sbrs, let's see if they all take the same amount of time or if i get the work ones back faster.

We did a local group buy on some LMT-manufactured stripped lowers.

They are roll-marked ECGS East Coast Gun Sales

    I bought 10 of them. I have 7 left.
