Small world huh? Worked out well in the end for you though
I was just being polite. It's in my nature (or some such crap) to respond to those who have responses to things I post. I don't like it when an OP'er disappears leaving everyone to wonder why he OP in the first place. It's not like this is a debate or anything!
Where is that applause icon...
I was thinking the same thing.

That's funny cause I don't remember this being a "post asinine responses that have nothing to do with the OP.....guess there will always be at least one or two dumb asses in the bunch. Go post somewhere else if you have nothing relevant to say
That's GT for ya.
I'm not going to flame, I agree. That's the reason I haven't posted my incidents.
Said the NooB!
Not to sound like an ***, but you may want to A) Keep the doors to your vehicle locked when driving around and B) find someplace better to keep your weapon.
A pistol sitting on the seat of a car will wind up on the floorboards and possibly out of reach if your vehicle gets hit or you have to slam on the brakes (two common occurences immediately preceding a defensive crisis).
A holster velcroed to the center console of the truck or fixed to the underside of the driver's seat might serve you better.
Yes, I was in the military. During that time I had to draw my weapon plenty of times.
One time while off base, 4 guys came out of an alley and confronted my friend. I saw that one had a knife and there had been several stabbings of service members in the immediate area over a few weeks prior. My friend HAD to have cigarettes at 0200...and pulled into the worst part of town. Anyway, never had to aim. I guess the nice folks figured there would be easier targets of opportunity later on and they left quickly.
Went back to UNC in 1993. I realized very quickly that the crack/gangsta thing was pretty heavy in my neighborhood.
My first week there, I decided to take my husky out for a long walk at night. I figured the dog to be a pretty good deterrent and Chapel Hill had a no-carry ordinance(now preempted); but right before leaving, I said "screw it" and stuck my G21 in my waistband(unchambered).
Shortly after commencing our walk, two guys walked up and started a conversation: nothing threatening, per se, but their tone raised suspicion.
Upon reaching my next turn I headed down through a field toward a creek and look back to see that the two guys had flagged down a car. I reached the creek(cover and concealment) and watched as four men headed my way. When they were about twenty yards away, I jacked a round(just like on tv).
"Gun", one says, and the four made tracks in the other direction.
Never had another problem with anyone.

I always do what I feel is best !
Like you have any room to talk, noob!
Hey, I have more posts than you!
More knives, too...
Yeah, well I've been here almost two years longer
And I have more guns...
And in almost two months, I've gotten over 1,000 posts. Lets say that's 500 posts a month. You've been here 8 years, 96 months, 96 times 500 is 48,000. So if I keep up this pace for 8 years, then I'll have double the amount of posts you do.
Who has less of a life now? Huh? Yeah, that's right, I'm the king.
I've been kicked out of more social groups than you have!
And I had more guns thann you before I gave them away!
Yeah, well I have a bigger... nevermind.
